Workshop to the deputies of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile

Dharamsala, March 28-29

A workshop of twin days for the Tibetan deputies was organised to help them to know the proper techniques to answer the people’s asked questions during their out-reach programs and also taught about the present plight in Tibet.

On the first day morning, Deputy Speaker Mrs.Gyari Dolma commenced the workshop with her meaningful speech and in the afternoon, concrete speech on the present plight of Tibet was given by Mr.Dawa Tsering, Joint Secretary, Deptt.of Information and International Relations (DIIR),  Mr.Tashi Gyatso, Joint Secretary ,DIIR and  Mr.Kunga Tashi,Joint Secretary, Deptt.of Security (DOS).Discussion was also held there on their opinions.

On the next day on 29th, Dr.Subash Kashyab, Ex-Secretary of the Lower House of the Indian Parliament gave speech on the activities of the committees, particularly the committees of the parliament.

Simultenously, question-answer session was also held. Prof.Bharat Karnad also gave a meaningful speech on the status of China and International changes and its effect on Tibetan Issue. He also kindly clarified several doubts of the participants by answering all the asked questions.

Over all there were around 30 Tibetan Deputies participated in the workshop.
